Ingham County mothers’ actions lead to arrest of suspected child sex criminal

I just bolded the most ethically questionable thing in this whole story (the sex was consensual, teens usually know how to handle substances).

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The actions of an Ingham County mother have led to the arrest of Nicholas Charles Toecker, who is suspected of offering drugs and vapes in exchange for sex or nude photos of minors, according to an FBI criminal complaint.
The FBI agent investigating the complaint filed the paperwork in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. The FBI says the mother said she was going through her 15-year-old daughter’s phone when she found explicit Snapchat messages between the girl and an unknown man.
The mom then called the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office (ICSO) to report what she had found.
