India has its own way of dispensing justice, which usually involves an angry woman with a slipper, or polite and civil use of a stick.

I think I prefer this system to all the 'court' nonsense.

A proposal to lower the age of consent in India has reignited the debate over the legally appropriate age for engaging in consensual sexual activity. The campaign is being led by lawyer Indira Jaising, who says the age of consent should be reduced from 18 to 16. Consensual sex at the age of 16 or 17 is “neither exploitative nor abusive”, said Jaising, who has called to “exempt it from criminal prosecution”, said the BBC. The Indian Supreme Court will consider her argument on 12 November.
Around the world, the age at which a person can legally consent to sexual activity varies widely. In most countries, the age of consent is between 16 and 18 but there are outliers. And, in some countries, different age restrictions apply to heterosexual and homosexual activity and/or to boys and girls.
The age of consent in the UK is 16, regardless of sex or sexual orientation. But that rises to 18 if the sexual relationship is with an adult in a “position of trust”, such as a teacher, social worker, sports coach or doctor. It is illegal for an adult in a position of trust to have sex with a 16 or 17-year-old in their care.

In India, they always have sticks on hand, even at the Discotheque!

India and Pakistan also have to be the major hubs of gesture-lawmaking, even ahead of the UK!

Maybe it's "empire fever" - they look to the British and all their stupid laws as some kind of historic moral deity.
You look at the fundamentals of the Indian economy and you just know they don't have the money to enforce these laws. Their prison population is probably a sixth of what it is in Europe, which is in a way better.

Indians are seemingly getting arrested in other countries for being overly affectionate. As is the case of this woman and a boy in Poland.

A viral video of a Poland-based Indian woman trying to embrace an underage Polish boy has sparked a debate around cultural norms, boundaries, and legal consequences.
In the video, the woman, who Redditors claimed is Malayali, was seen trying to kiss the boy on his cheek repeatedly even as the boy was seen shying away from her.
As per unconfirmed reports, Polish authorities have accused and charged the woman for sexual harassment. Discussions erupted over whether her actions were an act of motherly affection, commonly seen in Indian culture.
