Plenty of pederasts and pedo hating gay telios alike will claim that pederasty isnt gay, just homosexual. And to me, that makes sense but also doesnt make sense at the same time.

It makes sense because-gayness culuturally, in the west, carries the conotation of men loving men, not men loving boys, when you say gay, no one is thinking of men and boys or even boys with boys with boys, but men with men. The gay telios also backstabbed the pederasts and are now weaponizing the fact that they “won” to determine who gets to be valid as queer and who doesnt and throw MAPs, espcially pederast MAPs, under the bus, and claim that we are some sort of “smear” used by conservatives as homophobic propaganda(homophobic propaganda??!! But pederasts ARE homosexual?!?!) So many pederasts, rightuflly so, dont want to use the term of their opressors which has been whitewashed, or pinkwashed, into heteronormative assimilation by backstabbing hypocrites, but also. It makes no sense- Because 17 year old boys look literally fucking identical to 18 year old adult men. Gay telios will argue that pederasty isnt gay because children arent a gender. Sure. But that means that gay kids dont exist. Since by this logic, if a boy is attracted to another boy, he isnt gay, since he is attracted to a child and children arent a gender. So any boy who thinks he is gay, opens up an easy arguement for conservatives to say he is being “groomed” into thinking he is gay. Dont even get me fucking STARTED on the whole trans kids debate. Yes I am a trans man, but until the pedo hating/ anti c side of the trans community stop woth the hypocritical bs, I am completely fine with an age of transition being 18+ and and anything under being banned as “grooming” or “child abuse”. They will also use suicide rates and rates of mental issues to argue for their cause, saying “kids commit suicide or have mental health issues due to the social stigma against kids transitioning or having a deviant form of gender expression”. But when we say “kids commit suicide or have mental health issues it is due to the social stigma against kids sexuality or having a deviant form of sexual expression.” All of a sudden thats just “groomer rhetoric”. But its magically not “groomer rhetoric” when they same the same damn shit?! A kid is old enough to take drugs that alter negatively alter their penis functioning or remove it entirely, but not old enough to use said penis or even take a fucking photo of it?! What the fuck?! If an adult is involved with matters of the childs body, even if the child agrees to it, it is grooming, unless it fits our narrative, then it is not grooming because we said so and the conservatives are just being transphobic?!? Like, you cant have your cake and eat it too. In my personal opinion, obviously children can fucking consent. They can and do. They can consent to using their dick, they can consent to showing off their dick, they can consent to tucking their dick, and when they reach puberty age, they can consent to taking drugs that alter their dicks function and they can consent to turning that dick into a pussy. The only thing I more skeptical one is surgical transition, because unlike a handjob from a a grownup, surgery is literally fucking deadly, and all surgeries carry the risk of permanent deformation or bodily harm, so I do agree that the children medically transitioning or getting any cosmetic medical procedures in general is more complicated, not because they “cant consent” to it, but because unlike a hot older woman sucking your dick, getting surgery on that same dick could literally fucking kill you or lead to a whole list of injuries or disabillies. I’ve always seen “homosexuality” as the technical term used to refer to gay people, without ever making any kind of distinction. But if people start claiming that pederasty isn’t gay, then I start to see “gay” as just a political or ideological movement — one that maybe excludes from being considered “gay” even groups like homosexuals who vote Republican, or something along those lines.
But then, up until quite recently, wasn’t Greek pederasty considered a form of homosexuality (In the sense: ‘they were like us’) in gay circles? (Sure, there were those who made distinctions, but only on the basis that once you reached a certain age, you had a duty to procreate.)

Personally, I have no problem with it — precisely because I try to be consistent: I believe that minors should have the right to self-determination, meaning they can choose either to undergo a gender transition or to have sex. I say this considering transition to be far more impactful — even just because of puberty blockers — than any non-harmful, disease-free sexual act. And now that I think about it, this seems to me to be the only valid case of “informed consent”: when a sexual act involves sexually transmitted diseases. But that applies to both adults and minors.

Just today I read an argument coming from “Queer” circles in favor of the “liberation of youth” and against all forms of oppression toward them. And it was an entirely paternalistic discourse about how to prevent children and adolescents from having sex with adults (or even from having romantic relationships with them), built around rhetoric about power dynamics and oppression — portraying adults as masters having sex with their slaves.

And of course, trauma was used as a bogeyman.

There’s no way out of this — we have this ability to string together a sequence of words and twist ourselves into knots, so that starting from the premise that all lives have value, we could end up concluding that the death penalty is more than necessary.
