Honestly, I’d like to take this comment seriously, because it touches on an issue I’ve thought a lot about.

I follow a YouTuber who works in cybersecurity, and he always talks about how horrible some jobs are — because checking whether images and videos contain disturbing stuff can lead to paranoia, depression, and all sorts of psychological problems.

But at this point, I wonder: since we’re surrounded by people with the most bizarre paraphilias, why not hire someone who actually has a sexual interest in the reported video? Is it a report about an amputation? Perfect — send in someone who gets aroused by seeing amputations. They’d be a low-cost worker, or might even be willing to pay to be hired; they wouldn’t need psychological support because… well, they enjoy it, and that’s it. Seems like a win-win situation to me.

They could even be considered heroes, because they’re protecting the mental health of ordinary people — practically a gift from God. People sent from heaven to watch the videos that everyone else doesn’t want to see. And other bullshit.

Why not do it?
Seriously, it seems like a missed opportunity to me — and I think it’s kind of missed because of the general sexophobia toward anything unconventional.

Yes I agree, I would just like to see cute kids fooling around if it was legal, not brutal gang rape that ends in murder. I wish the former was legal :/
