Stephen Nunn, defending, said Sanders is 'open about his addiction to certain forms of sexuality'. He said Sanders was in the sad situation of not having friends because when he tells them he's a sex offender 'they don't want to know'.
He said Sanders was often humiliated and dominated by the other man. He had not committed any contact offences.
