I agree, lets see the industry have bands with hairy 50+ men. Surely that will be as popular, right? Wrinkly men slowly tottering around stage singing about things which irritate them.

It's an aberration that people prefer watching who are healthy, energetic, and playful.

I don't get these people. They know that isn't what they actually want, and that most k-pop fans aren't actually MAPs. Why not quietly enjoy it, instead of encouraging the world to focus on being more ugly?

I don't want to be misogynistic here, but it really does feel like a repeat of the plus sized models issue; people didn't like that thin women got all the attention, so they complained about it (though obviously there were also real issues with bulimia and anorexia). Now it's middle-aged versus young women; they mask their jealousy of the attention young women receive as concern. When will people learn to stop being crabs in a bucket?

The average western adult interested in k-pop is probably not very smart.
