Being AAM is frustrating

Hello!! I am 16, and as long as I can remember I’ve been into adults. I find it dumb when people say I can’t consent bc I literally can and they don’t speak for me!
It’s hard to find an adult that wants to be in a long term IRL relationship with me, and I feel like I’ll be lonely forever;((
I don’t like kids my age!! I can’t help it, I just can’t find someone my age to be attractive for some reason. UGH.

same twin. we're bodily almost 15 and we also have been into adults as far as we know and it sucks when ppl say "oh u cnat consent!" buddy, yes we can. legally? no, but if it was legal yes we can. i also agree on not liking kids my age (all of them would 100% bully me/have bullied me in the past) but i am attracted to younger kids (my bf is 13) - Rusty | It/Vamp/Star

It's been my experience that antis and controlling adults withhold autonomy from youth, something I'm vehemently opposed to!
While this site does NOT condone AAMs and MAPs engaging in flirtatious behavior, I'd like to say that I do believe kids can consent and should be allowed to. In some societies there's not even a distinction between "minor" and adult, and in many hunter/gatherer bands, youth were allowed to consent and were given practically full autonomy and agency over their lives.
This is a world I'd love to live in. I've always had dreams of a world like this. It's like some sort of primal memory that being born into the modern world and society tried to erase but couldn't expunge.
