Witnessing contact in my neighborhood growing up

I knew of two cases of contact between a minor and adult (of course they were scandalized) where I lived as a child & I just wanted to share these experiences to explain why I’m pro-contact.
One of my friends in high school was a gay boy who had a huge crush on his ur history teacher, a middle aged man and our history. He had a wife and kids. My friend would stay after class almost every day to talk to him and flirt with him. One day, he told me he was going to give our teacher a love note. At the end of class, when he handed our teacher his assignment, he also snuck him a note. Our teacher opened it in the middle of class, read it, his face turning bright red, and he asked my friend to step outside in the hallway. From then on, a whole school investigation began and my friend was scolded for expressing his desires openly to our teacher.
The second example is my younger sibling had a friend whose mother was a leader in the PTA. She was found by the police with a 13 year old boy (a friend of her child’s) in the back of the elementary school in her car. They had been intimate. She was pushed into pleading guilty for CSA. Meanwhile, the boy refused to cooperate with police
, initially lying about his age saying he was 18, then 15. Apparently they’d been texting each other for months. Basically, the boy was coerced into being labeled a “victim” being pressured by the police and his family. The PTA mom went to jail for several months. And the whole family relocated. My sister lost her close friend due to the scandal that surrounded this event.
So based on my personal experience witnessing the damage that is done to both children and adults for practicing bodily autonomy, I am pro-contact. Safe communities honor people’s bodily autonomy. They don’t punish people just feel morally superior.
