I am of course not accusing anyone of anything that is not my intention but do you find it weird when say a 15 to 16 YO comes here claiming to be a teenager? I of course expect many to be legit like I said I'm not saying they are ALL faking or this or that but at the same time It's also possible some or at least a few here and there are literal antis posing as underaged folks or in rare cases even law enforcement accounts trying to catch people acting "sketchy" or flirting with minors etc? Thoughts? Or am I just being delusional?

I feel that way too, but it's better that anyone questioning who happens to be awkward or overly flirtartious finds community than us protecting ourselves from every anti. Community growth and wasting the time of antis on a catfishing mission is worth it to me. We're not a place for relationships or sexual content anyways, so it shouldn't matter ideally.

its likely however flirting and looking for romantic/sexual relationships is banned here, rule 5 i believe (correct me if im wrong) so if there are, they're jst wasting their time

Many will be adults pretending to be teens.

That said, I joined the MAP community as a minor many years ago. Most MAPs become aware of their sexual orientation at around 16 years old.

Allowing AAMs to join feels less necessary, but it does make a few points that support the philosophy of this forum. And the rules specifically prohibit flirting between minors and adults, so anyone looking to cause trouble is wasting their time.

I'm always skeptical, but I don't think it's worth calling anyone out over. Best case scenario is you're calling out an adult pretending to be a teen that... can't really hurt anyone. As long as you follow a standard of not trying to contact anyone (especially teens), they could be a genuine police officer and it wouldn't make a difference. Worst case scenario is trying to argue is pushing a potential ally away, or making a teen MAP or AAM feel unwanted here.

That to me is worse than talking to an officer. I'd hate to be the one who does this to someone who's only trying to find a place to belong. It could save their life!

I don't think teens with any sexuality should be shunned and pushed away from a community they connect with, that's really unfair on them.
But care has to be taken to ensure laws are not broken for their own benefit as well as others.

Yeah if a teen flirts We can waste the time of federal agents. lol

And that's that fucked up part, even if a teen WANTS to date a older adult say mid 20s is perfectly happy it'll go like this.

Though for real, a lot of teens will not actually stand up for themselves these days and instead kinda just buckle to the anti pressure and either turn on someone or disappear, or worst case maybe even play the victim card making everyone literally everyone turn on the person over 18.....But the above is so true though to be honest, many many antis cannot FATHOM any kind of under 18 under any circumstance having any sort of autonomy over themselves or their actions and assume that they have the brain of small child and if they made a choice that is not a wide spread socially acceptable choice then the only other alternative is that it MUST be GROOMING. That's not to say that their are times grooming really does happen but people have become some braindead by social media and tik tok influencers that people like sheep just follow the herd and do not think for themselves in the slightest.
