Some daddy issues problem

Post by Liamisalone »

Where exactly do daddy issues stem from? I am a 16y/o AAM. This issue has troubled me for a long time Are daddy issues strongly connected with paternal absence?

Can you describe your issue in more detail? I think people aren't quite sure what you're asking.

A lot of different things 4 example neglect, possessiveness, a closed mind to a lot of topics, and just not being able to talk about anything can lead to distance in a parental relationship
AAM Society hates people who have different views than them. Genderfluid, bio girl, pan, nothing studious to say, and I’m neurodivergent :D

Well for myself my dad’s been largely absent my whole life I grew up mainly with my mom, grandma and sis in an all female household and I believe this partly led me to realize I’m gay Now at 16, I’m strongly drawn to significantly older mature and steady men with uncontrollable sexual fantasies toward them I’m trying to figure out if I’m genuinely attracted to their looks or if it stems from daddy issues

We never got along well so gambling is illegal where I live. Before I was born my dad gambled away our family house He was also a local loan shark so our values clashed terribly He had a history of domestic abuse: tie me up with a belt to beat me, stripping me naked and hitting me before kicking me out onto the street I hate him soooo much but I’m conflicted—I still crave his approval and affection lol

It may be.
I had daddy issues in a way that I have looked into before.

My parents divorced when I was quite young so I had to go through that family breakup. My father moved away which my mother insisted on and so I went a long time without a father. I would conjur up fantasies about him, how he was out there doing great things and in time I started to have fantasies of how he would come back and whisk me away and he'd be my daddy and my lover, plenty of sexual fantasies. Then when I started dating I didn't realise it at first but I was drawn to guys who I imagined were like my dad and I couldn't hold a relationship because in part my strong sexual interest for young girls that had grown stronger over time and any adult guys I met just couldn't match up to that image I had of my dad.

We did reconnect in time which was great but I think being away from him for so long developed those daddy issues for me. I've spoken to a lot of women who have daddy issues to but not all are from divorced parents so I don't know if that's really connected or if it just can make it more apparent. Someone told me that every girls first love is her father and that might be the plain truth of it.
