A feature of Pediverse is that you can block entire instances from federating with your own instance, so yes you definitely were blocked from seeing other Pediverse instances that may or may not have been of interest to you thanks to mapsupport's censor-heavy culture.
It seems like with this site, you have to be some kind of mind reader in order to say what they want you to say, to get membership, because there are zero indicators as to what statements would be acceptable, and not acceptable! Seems just too vague to even bother with.

We have already agreed that we do not just ban users suddenly on this site, except for the most flagrant and threatening breaches of confidentiality, incitements or sharing of illegal material. The process is always to issue an informal or formal warning with guidance, and to wait for two formal warnings within a month before taking action on the account. The action we take is to suspend for 3-30 days, usually at the lower end of the scale at first.

This way, we have had trolls post for months before being suspended as a last resort. It seldom works for the troll, as their trolling content is removed and moderated by community members.
