Has anyone on here seen the anime based on the novel series Mushoku Tensei Jobless Reincarnation?

The story follows a 34-year old Japanese jobless shut-in who is kicked out of his parents house by his siblings after he is caught with cp of his 10-year old niece and after getting hit by a truck he is reincarnated in another world and given a second chance at life.

The series is very controversial because the main character is canonically a pedophile and an extremely flawed character.

I've not seen it, but I'm definitely going to check it out. It sounds interesting.

It is great and i love that it upsets nomie antis lol.

They mainly hate the pedo main character and the fact that he is an adult in the body of a child and has sex with multiple little girls in the show lmao.

I think it's pretty mid, I'm not really a fan. Isekai in general is full of low quality slop.

I do think the discourse is funny though. Especially the fans who defend the show by denying that the main character is actually a pedophile when he very obviously canonically is. Like, they literally directly state that he is sexually attracted to children and consumes child pornography in the first episode of the show. It's how they introduce his character. I don't know how much more blatant you can get it.

Honestly, those people bother me even more than Antis. It's just cowardly. If you like something which is clearly associated with pedophilia in some way, don't jump through a bunch of hoops to deny that the thing you like is associated with pedophilia. Own up to it. They're like the shota/loli fans who act like Antis are crazy for drawing a link between jacking off to cartoon depictions of children and being sexually attracted to children. Antis suck, but c'mon. Be serious. If you jack off to cartoon drawings of children it's probably because you think children are sexy. Just admit it already, stick up for yourself, nobody is seriously gonna buy the denialism.

i only heard of it from the rance inspiration it had. the world building is pretty good but obviously most of that isn't in the series, just like its inspiration.

honestly, i think the series got really lame once rudeus started getting married and settling down, the adventuring parts of mushoku tensei was what i was really in for and i feel that's going to be absent a lot for the stage where rudeus is in. it's too fluffy and sort of cringeworthy for my tastes right now but i'm hoping for eris to save it. maybe i should have just read the light novel (i have, briefly, and it was still the same feeling).
it would be a much better series if he actually reciprocated aisha's advances IMO

as usual, i don't like seeing people talk about rudy and dumbing his arc down to "sad 'pdf' happy 'pdf'", with their vehement insistence on his pedophile aspect being the worst thing ever and even wondering why the author never said anything against it in the series. i came from seeing the comment section from a youtube recommendation called "GENERATIONAL LOSERS". it's really annoying and so embedded in the awful mainstream mindset, so i try not to see that stuff.

Yeah a lot of people deny that Rudeus is a pedophile when he was literally kicked out of the house because he skipped out on his parents funeral and stayed home jacking off to a video he filmed of his 10-year old niece in the bathroom which is why his brother smashed his computer plus in the light novel he admits to stealing family photos of his niece that his brother had taken of her at a waterpark and using them to masturbate to.

Reminds me of all the people who read Lolita incorrectly as some sort of morality tale about how pedophilia is bad or how it is a warning about the dangers of predators despite the fact Nabokov said the book doesn't have a moral message at all.
