Need people I can relate to

Hello,

I’m an adult who is primarily attracted to other adults, but I’m also attracted to girls. Saying that the other way around also feels accurate—if not more accurate—at times. I’ve liked a few boys as well, but that’s more rare. I discovered my attraction years ago, but the process of accepting it has been a rough back and forth endeavor.

Truthfully, I don’t see what’s wrong with being attracted to an 8 year old any more than an 80 year old. Jane Fonda is going on 90 and is still gorgeous. She’s over 50 years my senior and I’d happily date her. Similarly, I think younger people are just as beautiful and worthy of admiration.

I currently have a crush on a 10 year old and after some time thinking about it, I interpreted it as my inner child experiencing the attraction. Maybe it makes no sense, but I always valued and held onto my childhood.

When I’m attracted to a girl it’s different from a woman. With women, I think of dating, emotional bonds, marriage, etc. With a girl, I think about being a kid again, seeing the wonder in everything, having fun, full of dreams and endless imaginations. I miss that so much.

My best friend was also a MAP (a nepio), but I lost contact with them many moons ago, which was heartbreaking because I’ve never been so close with someone before or after—a one in a million kind of friendship that helped me learn acceptance.

The regular communities I’m in are fine, but It’s missing people who I can relate to on this level.

How did you even find out they were a MAP? I wish to have friends in general but specifically MAP friends, it just seems like a one in a million thing like you said. And welcome to the forum :)
