Parents are legally considered slave traders

A person held captive under coercion can reasonably be described as enslaved or treated in a slavery-like condition even if they are not made to work, particularly if the captor exercises ownership-like control over their movement, bodily autonomy, personal relationships, or ability to leave. International law defines slavery by the exercise of “any or all of the powers attaching to the right of ownership,” not by a requirement that the victim perform labor.

Minors are human beings. They are afforded human rights under international law as humans. Parents are provided legal cover to sidestep these rights in favor of their own wishes and power. This is state sanctioned slavery plain and simple. Minors do not effectively have any rights without their parents approval. This needs to change NOW!
