How does society view female pedophiles?

I feel like female pedophiles arent hated as much as male pedophiles, for example, if a man has sex with a child most people are okay with him being beaten or raped or tortured, whereas if a woman has sex with a child most people would think its wrong if a man beat or raped her, is this true?
