I've been listening a lot to Shibayan's Bossa Nova tracks. The songs are very well composed, the voices are soft and adorable and many of the lyrics are quite obviously about adult-kid romantic relationships. Turn the subtitles on and enjoy!

I know of several musicians who are either maps or have map supporting tendencies. I was thinking whether there's a way for music to have an impact on attitudes towards maps, whether music could be created that talked about map issues.

I mean it was oppression of blacks that was expressed through music that brought black people together as well as reached out to non-blacks, and music has always and still talks about social issues such as poverty and inequality and race issues. Is there a place for music to talk about sexuality issues including map issues and would that provide a way to gently reach out? Music can be anonymous, it doesn't have to be connected to a physical, real person, it can be connected to a persona.

Poetry is another form of expression that historically has reached out. As nations clamp down on free speech and any form of visual art, the other arts such as music and poetry becomes even more important expressions of resistance.

Tia DeNora
How does the cultural configuration of being and body happen? Just how are cultural products mobilized and how do texts, images, sonic structures and representations inform and thereby “get into” action? These are key questions for cultural studies, sociology and social psychology. They have so far not been addressed head on, and they by no means entail a mere “empirical implementation” of an otherwise already complete theorization of agency. In this article, I suggest that a good theory of agency can be developed through specific considerations of particular social realms, and with reference always to particular cultural materials. To this end, after some initial theoretical clarification of the links between culture, nature and social agency, I focus on the erotic, in order to pursue a more general concern with the interrelationship of expressive media and social agency.1 More specifically, I consider the question of how erotic agency maybe “musically composed”2, by which I mean how agency may take shape with reference to musical media.

"If the definition of Queer reading is an analytical approach that interprets texts, films, or media from a queer perspective, emphasizing the fluidity of sexualities and gender..." I wonder if MAP reading/Pedo-reading is the interpretation of MAP positive relation/environment/meaning...? Wouldn't it..?

I mentioned my love of shoegaze in another post, so I thought I might as well share the specific song that inspired my current pseudonym:
