You have a former YF you used to work with, who betrayed you by stealing from your house. You refused to hang out with him after that because you hate stealing and felt you couldn't trust him any more, and he gave up his chance to say sorry and explain his reasons. The relationship was close but not sexual.

You recently saw the boy around town and had a pleasant conversation. He then started calling you and stopping by your place of work to say hi, which is not really so weird due to the local culture and other circumstances. He was clearly still upset that you stopped being his AF

The boy's friend, who you also worked with previously, then called you at around midnight, asking if the two of them and another friend could sleep at your house.

You know that your former YF's Dad does not like sleepovers. The boys are 14-15yo but still attractive, and they're probably calling you because they'd been drinking or doing something else they didn't want their parents to know about.

I refused to get involved, but told them I'd meet up with them at a normal time if they wanted. However, I didn't call their parents, even though I know them well enough.

What would you have done?

I would have called their parents unless the YF has some shit on you. I know he'd be mad and upset with your actions but you never know what they could have gotten themselves into. If you know them and the community good enough to know that they are safe than the exact thing you did. Told them we'll hang out another time and hang up because if the dad really is a strict asshole then don't put yourself in harms way. In other words, you did the right thing as long as they were safe.

It's an extremely safe area, although bad things can happen anywhere. The boy doesn't have any 'shit' on me, and his Dad is firm but not a 'strict asshole'. Nevertheless, it's a face-saving culture, and people get embarrassed easily.

I guess I just took the path of least drama? I would probably have contacted their parents if they were younger.
