Hosted by the pseudonymous Rookiee almost 20 years ago, the Pedologues Podcast was a further such example of this initiative among BLs. Rookiee was very much ahead of his time, and even once used the term AAM on his blog, inviting some of them on to his show to be interviewed.

Thanks for the short but straight-to-the-point article Jim, and kudos to Strato for all the work on the summaries.

I'm so glad Pedologues received renewed interest, I'm discovering so many remarkable episodes in the series. It should be a "must-hear" for any activist.

Thanks also for the pointer on MAPs IRL, I'll check it out.

Why is it that mostly BLs are involved in MAP activism?

BL activism emerged as an offshoot of gay activism.

"Straight activism" meanwhile has never really needed to be a thing. And, at least for heterosexual hebephiles, marriage to teens was not so uncommon in the past.

I also wonder if a lot of straight pedophiles, especially non-exclusive ones, just get married and then do stuff with their daughters. The reasonably high rates of father-daughter incest indicate this might explain some of the gap. Meanwhile BL had a much higher profile due to men getting with unrelated boys.
