What do you guys think of Dr. James Cantor and his research on pedophilia/pedophiles?

Me personally i appreciate that he acknowledges the fact that it may very well be an orientation but i feel most of his research is biased given he is studying mostly offenders.

He also, has a tendency to contradict himself a lot such as acknowledging minor attraction as an orientation while also, hoping for a cure and most of the conclusions he comes to such as pedophiles being short left handed with low iq brain damage/head injury and poor impulse control can easily be debunked.

He has a long career researching minor attraction. I think you'll find his views have changed over time.

He has done more good than bad, even if some of his conclusions have seemed weird to me.

He has become Rind-like, but not as helpful. I think it's the complete lack of supportive grifts for us at this point. As soon as opportunities present themselves, people will come on-board. Hopefully things like the Melzer trust start to encourage writers and researchers in a certain direction. Properly managed, that estate can easily tip the direction of a University research program.

James Cantor seems to be a legitimate academic whose views are shaped by the findings of his studies. He likely adopted a more reasonable perspective toward MAPs as a result of his research.
