A total sexual pervert who for years was making intimate recordings of two women with whom he had a romantic relationship in Dénia and their daughters. In addition, he sexually abused two minors aged 7 and 8, daughters of one of his partners, recorded these abuses and had files with paedophile content in his home. The Prosecutor's Office requested sentences totalling 49 years in prison for the accused of these crimes, but finally reduced today in the trial held in the Court of Alicante its request to 12 years and one month in prison after an agreement of conformity between the accusations and the defence.

The defendant, who is currently on provisional release and has hidden his face so as not to be filmed by the media at the trial, has pleaded guilty, accepted the requested sentence and asked for "forgiveness from the victims" before being sentenced "in voce" to 12 years of imprisonment by the court of the Third Section. The lawyer of one of the private prosecutions, Daniel García González, has indicated at the end of the oral hearing that he will request the immediate execution of the sentence once it is notified and becomes final.

The accused has been convicted of six crimes of discovery and disclosure of secrets, four of them continued, two continued crimes of sexual abuse of a minor under 16 years of age, one crime of production of child pornography and another of possession and distribution of child pornography.

The sentences imposed for each crime range between four and 30 months in prison. In total, he has been sentenced to 145 months in prison and has also been ordered to prohibit him from approaching the victims within 500 metres and from communicating with them by any means, he has been banned from any job where minors are present and he has been placed on probation for eight years once he is released from prison.

He must also pay compensation totalling 60,000 euros to the victims. For the time being, he has paid 2,000 euros before the trial, which has allowed the prosecution to consider applying the mitigating circumstance of reparation, as well as another for undue delays. To this amount must be added another 5,000 euros that he has already paid as bail to be released, according to sources from the private prosecution.

According to the prosecution's accusation admitted by the defendant, the accused had a romantic relationship with a woman in Dénia between 2009 and 2017. During this relationship, he installed, without her knowledge or consent, a camera in the bathroom of the house that recorded images of her, her two daughters or anyone who used the bathroom.

Recorded sexual relations

Years later, in October 2019, he began a relationship with another woman whom he recorded without her knowledge while they were having sexual relations. In this second relationship, in which they also lived together in a house in Dénia, the defendant sexually abused his partner's two minor daughters, who were 7 and 8 years old, subjecting them to touching while they were sleeping, touching and sexual practices that he recorded, according to the prosecution's accusation admitted at the trial by the defendant.

In January 2021, the defendant went to the house of a neighbour on the upper floor who asked him to change a light bulb and took the opportunity to install a video camera in the bathroom that captured images of the neighbour and her daughter while they were using the bathroom.

On 9 March 2021, the defendant's home was raided and searched, where the agents seized a large number of paedophile-type audiovisual files.

The ex-partners and several other victims have appeared as witnesses in the trial held in the Court and have confirmed the facts reported at the time, in addition to showing their interest in claiming for the moral damages suffered.

The accused has taken advantage of the last word to say that "I would like to ask the victims for forgiveness and repair the damage as soon as possible, little by little".

I think the prison sentence of +10 was overkill for what was unsolicited spying. The compensation should've been enough, but that's just my opinion.
