How do ordinary people feel about an adult dating a teenager in your country? Is there any organized activism there in support of MAPs or youth rights?
For example, I know that in Germany, although it's not an independent state, there was a fairly tolerant attitude – from understanding and ...

Re: about the epstein hysteria
Contemporary America of the twenties is not a parody of the Third Reich. It's more like the country from Sinclair Lewis's " It Can't Happen Here " (a very relevant book written in 1935). Trump is a right-wing populist, but contrary to popular belief, National Socialism was a leftist, not a rightist ...

Re: Predictions for the future based on current events
This is a process that is already unfolding before our eyes. So-called "developed" countries are banning teenagers from using social media. In fact, the current pedo-hysteria is so absurd in its essence that it is itself self-defeating. The Third Moral Panic, which began in 1977 (according to ...

Re: Transracial people
InuYasha,
I don't really agree with the idea of race as a social construct. It's ultimately an arbitrary concept but so is species. That said, if race is a 'biologically meaningful' concept I don't think it matches entirely with our common sense racial classifications based on observable ...

Re: Transracial people
I would recognise trans-racial people: they could in theory transition even physically. For trangender people, many of them are "born in the wrong body", but I don't see how one could have been born the wrong race. But if they want to transition to a different race, I have no problem.
Would ...

Re: Transracial people
For me, we need to put some points clearly.
The transgender phenomenon exists because gender identity dysphoria can be diagnosed, and it does not necessarily have anything to do with social constructs. Just like body dysphoria does not necessarily relate to social constructs, even if one’s ...

Transracial people
What do you think about transracial people and the very concept of racial or ethnic self-identification?
There's a double standard in society: transgender people are recognized, but transraciality is denied as a phenomenon. Meanwhile, it's a very real phenomenon. People can suffer from the ...

Re: Thoughts on Zoophilia?
I'm not particularly fond of such zoophilic themes, but I don't hate such people. Social aversion to them is an irrational trait, caused by the same thing that aversion to maps engenders in most people. Zoos cross the moral line of what is acceptable (in the minds of Western norms in the first half ...

Re: I dont care anymore(vent)
I understand that it's very difficult and unpleasant to be considered a monster for something you didn't even choose. Unfortunately, society (especially – I never tire of emphasizing this – among people who identify as Americans) is full of hatred and cruelty, full of a thirst for "revenge" and, at ...

Re: Age of Deception
If you repeat a lie often enough, then eventually people will believe it to be "the truth," no matter how ridiculous the lie might be. You see it with the "everything under 18 is wrong" fallacy, even though there's zero evidence of that, which the politicians know themselves. Therefore, the age of ...
