I'm curious about how these thoughts are 'intrusive' for you if they're not distressing. I can see how neutral or pleasant thoughts might pop up and captivate someone's attention, I guess, but what I'm calling 'intrusive' is so because it's unwanted/distressing.
I consider an intrusive thought to be simply a thought that forms on its own, suddenly. So ideally even neutral or pleasant ones, but when I said I don’t have a bad relationship with them, I also meant those involving antisocial behaviors or ones that could generate anxiety: kicking a dog, pushing someone, the image of scaffolding collapsing and ending up under the rubble, etc. They’re just images that, when they appear, I sometimes entertain to pass the time, without giving them any real weight. I simply continue the scene in my mind and fantasize about it.
