Is it "typical" / "normal" to be an AAM?

One of my female 5th grade students has developed a crush on me.

She keeps insisting I'm cute/handsome.

Today, she was doing this while three of the HOTTEST 5th grade boys were present.

I tried to persuade her that the boys her own age were super good-looking, but she insisted they were gross.
