About the "children can't consent" argument… Do you think that the answer "well, they do" could work? I mean, maybe it's too simple... but they do. It's a fact. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen. I think it's an interesting reality check, and one could even draw some comparisons. If you see a person entering a piece of land with a "no trespassing" sign, you might say that, legally, they are not allowed to do that, and you may even think it's wrong, but they have done it. You can't deny reality.
I'm also curious how many languages have an exact equivalent to the English "statutory rape." I'm pretty sure that in many places, even though AMSC is illegal, it's not called "rape". Another word is used, because it doesn't fit the definition of "rape."
