A masked man caught with a paintball gun in public claimed that he was looking for a paedophile.

Ryan Gallagher, 26, was seen with the weapon under his arm in Glasgow’s Yorkhill area on April 8, 2024.

Glasgow Sheriff Court heard how two witnesses outside Duke’s Bar spotted Gallagher, who was also wearing a hood, around midnight.

The pair watched as Gallagher spoke to a man across the road in the common close of a block of flats.

The man was heard to tell Gallagher to leave, but he did not want to.

Prosecutor Darren Harty stated: “Gallagher said he wanted to see a man called Martin, who was a paedophile in the area.

“He said that he would ‘catch the b******’ and asked the man to ‘show me his house’ and ‘where does he stay’.

Gallagher claimed that he had a licence for “this thing” and that he needed to charge a gas cannister for it.

He died on New Years Eve...

One of two men accused of murdering a fellow prisoner has told a magistrate he killed the victim because he was a child sex offender.

Shannon Daniel Norgate, 28, was found unresponsive with significant injuries from an assault at Maryborough Correctional Centre, north of Queensland's Sunshine Coast on November 26.

He died in hospital on December 1.

Norgate had been jailed in 2020 for sexually abusing young boys in a shopping centre toilet block.

A court heard on three occasions he had disguised himself as a security guard and led children into a toilet block at a Gladstone shopping centre and a school.

In another incident, Norgate had also followed two boys, aged four and five, into a school toilet block, a court heard.

A prisoner killed his cellmate after discovering he was incarcerated with the monster who had raped his younger sister. Shane Goldsby, then 25, was caught on camera brutally stomping on Robert Munger's head on June 2, 2020.

The 70-year-old was serving a 43-year sentence for child rape, child molestation and possession of child pornography. Goldsby reportedly couldn't believe he was sharing a cell at the Airways Heights Corrections Center in Washington, US with the man who had abused his underage sister.

A month after the murder, he said: "This stuff doesn't happen. You're talking the same institution, the same unit, the same pod in the same cell as this dude. That's like hitting the jackpot in the casino seven times."

There has been a definite uptick in these stories where queer left or liberal politicians get caught and/or smeared as pedophiles. Take it as a sign our topic is becoming somewhat more politically coded, and a certain type of person is getting drawn into a certain type of politics (compare gays in the postwar left).

A North Wales man who was targeted by paedophile hunters later took his own life, an inquest has been told. The body of Paul Andrew Williams, 55, was found in the water near Caernarfon's historic town walls.

An inquest in Caernarfon heard he had been arrested after The Underworld paedophile hunters confronted Mr Williams and livestreamed the encounter on Facebook.

Police found a letter which detailed the impact of the hunters' activities that led to him losing his job which had been a big part of his life.

As the founder of Predator Poachers, Alex Rosen has set out to make the world a safer place for kids both online and offline. Rosen spoke to investigative journalist Kristin Thorne about the group’s initiative during the latest episode of Us Weekly’s Uncovered, revealing how they find pedophiles online.

“So you guys essentially pose as a minor online, and then do you go out and try to find people? Or do you wait till they come to you?” Thorne asked Rosen during the new episode.

Rosen responded by saying that finding pedophiles online is “not hard.” He shared, “I bet you could find probably 100 pedophiles online in a week, and that’s being conservative about it.”

“Finding them is not hard. The hard part is the logistics, selling that you’re a real kid, the tediousness of it,” he continued. “As for just, you know, identifying yourself as an underage kid online, you’re going to find a lot of pedos. Just the follow through is the tricky part.”
