Re: Arguments from antis on animal ethics of pedophilia, rebuttals

"Pedophilia is natural, it's seen in [...]" isn't typically used to explain that it's okay or moral. They are two separate arguments. We usually make this argument to combat the active assumption that pedophilia isn't natural, which is still a common belief among antis and a basis for certain ...

Re: Police arrived to arrest her father for sexual abuse. But he was making it all up

Mark walked away with no criminal record or any form of monitoring. He was not placed on the sex offender register and there is nothing he has to disclose to an employer or a partner.
Shocking news: man not placed on sex offender registry after not having committed a sexual offense.

Re: If you like girls that have big eyes, no hair, and skinny, you're a pedophile

I'm not sure on the percentage, but I'm pretty sure a lot of the age gap discourse (and by extension, some anti-AMSC rhetoric) comes from people who are just genuinely upset that people they are attracted to are just attracted to younger people. Older women are upset when financially stable men go ...

Re: Why doesn't the re-victimization argument apply to images and videos of kids beings beaten?

The honest answer is that people who push re-victimization arguments just haven't actually thought about it. It's not likely to be something they genuinely believe in beyond serving as an excuse to criminalize porn they don't like.

Re: Why is gore legal but soft core CP isn’t?

Weirdly enough, in places with interpretative CP laws (where the law is that technically anything can be CP so long as it involves a child, and it can be believed you masturbate to it — think UK), gore can be illegal... but only if you jerk to it. Viewing it for the funsies is fine though.

Officer ...

Re: Why are adults expected to desexualize kids?

'Let kids be kids' has always meant to groom children into submissive personalities for their obsessive controlling authorities (i.e., their parents). The only parts of letting kids be kids that's actually relevant to people are the parts where they don't learn independence. If you're letting a 4 ...

Re: Children charged with crimes thread

I think this is important to highlight, especially cases of rape and people's reaction to them, because it highlights that people's view on minor sexuality is inconsistent.

In the UK, there's controversy over the sentencing of two 15 year olds and a 14 year old in a rape case , and later a 13 year ...

Re: Subconscious Acceptance

if these people genuinely believe deep down that AMSC is inherently harmful, why do they so often have to separate it when making these kinds of comments? Sometimes you'll see the same thing parroted and there won't be a distinction, however the separation is noted often enough that it paints a ...

Subconscious Acceptance

What is everyone's thoughts on the idea that there's a large portion of the population that actually accepts MAPs on a subconscious level, and some that there are likely a lot of people that subconsciously accept that minors can actually consent? I think many of us here agree that much of the ...

Get Help

If you've ever seen a discussion on MAPs in public, you'll always see the same thing. Something along the lines of, "Pedophiles that don't offend aren't a problem as long as they get help. "

It's repeated enough that people somehow believe that help exists. In reality however, it's just something ...
