Re: The MAP community needs to chill

Thank you both for your replies.

Considering the present reality, what do you think MAPs can realistically do, and what do you think allies can realistically do?

There are a number of things allies can do, right now.

To start, they can address and make known the sensationalism around how sex ...

Re: The MAP community needs to chill

I've been in the MAP community long enough to remember a time before a superficial divide between anti-contact and free-choice (ie. pro-contact). I would have to agree that this dichotomy isn't as strong as it may seem (hence my referring to it as superficial).

Now, before I get told I myself am ...

Re: Mu will vote on "The Simple List" in 2025

My point is that popularity is irrelevant for whether or not something goes against the equal protection clause of the 14th amendment. The supreme court isn't a popularity contest.

This is not merely a matter of popularity. It's far more nuanced than that. It's a matter of sensibilities ...

Re: Mu will vote on "The Simple List" in 2025

Why? The goals we're trying to achieve haven't been achieved before, so doesn't that mean we'll have to try new approaches and methods?

This is not a completely unique movement, nor is it a cookie cutter duplicate of another movement. Several factors of this movement have parallels to other ...

Re: Mu will vote on "The Simple List" in 2025

I understand that my opinions (not the way I have expressed them) have ruffled some feathers in the past, as I have not agreed to much of these positions. It's important that all positions any major movement takes relies strongly on historical precedent (i.e. knowing something worked for other ...

The plight of minors, and holding antis accountable for it

Over the years, and after consider research of evidence in favor of the position, I have come to the conclusion of three things:

1. Each major issue MAPs face is mirrored by a similar issue for minors
2. These issues faced by minors are a result of our current laws against MAPs, not in spite of ...

Hello from VoA/ALM

Greetings, Everyone!

While my name here is different, I'm sure all of you will know me from my name on VoA; Revolution (most call me Rev for short). I have decided to join here because of a serious need for a sane means forward that has historic precedent to pull from. I appreciate the efforts ...
