Andrea Dworkin, an important figure in the feminist opposition to pornography, was notorious for saying "violation is a synonym for intercourse," though Dworkin disputed being opposed to heterosexual sex generally.

Penetrative intercourse is violent, but sex is OK as long as it isn't an act of aggression. How can you do something violent without it being defined as aggressive? Even if Dworkin doesn't explicitly state the logical consequence of these two positions, I don't see how penetrative intercourse couldn't be rape if both of those things were true.

To a certain extent, I feel like there is a subset of sex-negative feminists which would like to stop penetrative sex from happening under any circumstances, and because they they can't stop adults from doing it, they turn their fury against pedophiles, and there are people that are oblivious to this motive. Antis support stuff like this, not realizing that the same people would happily throw them in jail for any form of penetrative sex.

I think the broader culture we have surrounding sex, is the result of this sub-group of feminists using any available method to achieve that goal. Consider the discourse about affirmative consent - every sexual act/moment having to be explicitly and vocally agreed to, about sexual harassment versus flirting - showing sexual interest in someone becomes blurred with sexually harassing them, or about drunken sex - if both a woman and a man have sex while drunk then the man raped the woman. None of this is treating penetrative sex as though it's a normal part human life, the result is to have a chilling effect on having sex because participants second-guess every part of what's happening (whether the other participant wants what's happening, whether you're enjoying what's happening).
