When you were a minor, did you ever form a platonic friendship with an unrelated adult

The current discourse in society leads many to believe that an adult should not be anywhere near a child (or teenager) if they are not related to them or present in a professional capacity (Teacher, babysitter, etc.) Of course that's bad for those of us who'd like to form deeper relationships with those younger, but even just platonic friendships can be judged harshly, and I think that's silly.

I personally had a habit of befriending significantly older women, and still do. One particular stand out was this woman who was likely in her 30s when I was but 11. I was originally friends with her son who was in the same grade and went over and hung out a bunch, But he moved away for some reason I don't remember, leaving his mom and her two elementary school daughters. I still visited them and became a friend of that family. Got invited to barbecues and such. Hung around them for about two years until they moved away.

My dad, sole guardian, didn't know about this relationship. Not that I was trying to hide it, he just allowed me a lot of freedom growing up. I'm sure some people out there upon hearing that would accuse her of being predatory, but was so not what was happening. Anyway, I'd like to hear similar stories if you've got any.

i had a friend i know him to this day we do not have contact last time i have seen him was in the shop and we said hi to each other and stuff
but mostly adults that were with me like friends... he he tend to like me a bit more then usual i admit i was a handsome boy (and still am)

the friend was my moms friends son and was like 18 then i was like 9 or 10 i liked to spend time with him actually he like "raised" me a bit
he though me about morals and being like generally thoughtful person he watched anime and was generally interesting persona cause he had many
interests and was really expressive and cool for me
he was always playful with me i even considered later that he might be a map but no contact one if he would try to do anything i will probably not resist

Yes when I was in 3rd/4th grade. He was an older man of about 60-70 with all white hair and I was a little 8/9 year old girl. Our relationship was STRICTLY platonic, but I wouldnt mind if it went sexual. Now adays I wouldnt be surpirsed if some asshole broke up our friendship because “OLD MEN CANT BE FRIENDS WITH LITTLE GIRLS!!!1!1! ITS EVIL”, but I can vouch for him that he was the nicest old man I ever met and he was genuinely my friend. We met through school and he was my soccer coach. He was so sweet and gentle and patient with me and I could tell I was his favorite. It was lovely to finally have an adult that didnt see me as annoying little nuiscance and yell at me and beat me and actually valued me for me. Im still upset to this day my parents never let me say goodbye to him when me moved. Also my librian in 3rd/4th grade. I was OBSSESSED with reading and always at the library, the first one in line on mondays, which was library day. She always talked to me and was super kind to me, honestly a little obssessed lol, she might have been a MAP. She was also a good friend to me even though I have a hard time renmebering her, its been so long, she gave me a bookmark before I left the school with words of encourgement but I unfortunantly lost it before I even reached the car. Stupid tiny 9 year old hands! I miss them. And also my art teacher from the begining of 6th grade. Wonderful woman who cared deeply about her kids. So yes I have had wonderful platonic relationships with adults in my lolihood and I care about them and miss them dearly, they were there for me when they other kids at school bullied me for being a weird little nerdy girl with poor social skills. If I ever end up working with kids, which I probably wont because they are so sexy its too tempting to break the law and very loud/annoying in large groups, (as sexy as they are I cannot STAND going to places dominated by large groups of kids, the scream and run around so much, please parent your kids, and thats coming from a LITERAL PDF!) then I hope to be a kind adult mentor that they can reli on if they have trouble making friends with kids their own age.
