Man stopped at Dublin Airport by Homeland Security is charged over child sex abuse animation images

Has to fly back to Ireland this winter to defend himself for cartoons.

The idea making all of this happen is public protection money well spent for the Irish taxpayer is "interesting" to say the least.

Resources well spent. Keeping a man from jerking it to fictional characters.

These laws are stupid and just make would-be offenders go further. Someone might question that if you're treated like you've watched actual child porn because you look at drawings, why not just skip the step and do the real thing anyway? If someone uses fictional images as a way to control their urges, doesn't stripping that from them make them more likely to do something worse?

Waste of money and helps no one. Just another piece of evidence that none of this is for the protection of anyone; just the criminalization of a deviant sexuality.

The sexual abuses of the Catholic church being covered up and having had a blind eye turned to them, means that Ireland understandably became a pressure cooker of hatred towards MAPs. It's going to be a tough sell trying to now persuade the Irish public that people are too hard on MAPs and pedophilia.

However, they're quick to adopt progressive views once those progressive views have been adopted in America and elsewhere. Consider the tolerance of trans people and gay marriage in contemporary Ireland. If a new consensus emerges in America that MAPs should be more tolerated, the Irish public is likely to be open to changing their minds.

One gets the impression that even the newspaper thinks he's a harmless young man and this is a waste of everyone's time.

The intentionally non-intimidating image of the 'offender' is an odd addition to an article on a MAP being arrested.
