Man jailed for ‘no touching of naked genitalia’ on teens

This is the face of a man with a ‘distinct predilection’ for young teenage boys, convicted of three sexual assaults on two teens.

Stephen Cannon, 37, was found guilty, following a trial earlier this year of three counts of sexually assaulting two young teenage boys, one of the boys was assaulted twice in a relatively short period of time.

In Cannon’s defence it was said although the incidents were ‘highly unpleasant’ they were ‘relatively short in nature’ and that there had been ‘no touching of naked genitalia’.

It was added that this was the first breach of the sexual harm prevention order and that Cannon was acting as a mentor in prison and taking advantage of educational opportunities to better himself.

Judge Rees said that Cannon’s offending was of an ‘insidious nature and persistent both generally and in particular’.
