Would the professor stop at 18 if 17 was the age of consent?

Plus, you need to actually talk about what ephebophilia is. It's attraction to the body proportions of a teenager. 18 year olds are teenagers. Sure it's legal to fuck an 18 year old. It's still gross and in my professor example, unethical, and there are still millions of academics doing it, that never want to be punished for it.
I find it unsettling that there are people who consider having sex with 18-year-olds as something “disgusting”, when it seems to me that adolescence is known as the age group people are most attracted to. So consequently, for someone particularly sensitive to the law, 18 should be about the peak of their interest—at least aesthetically.

Sometimes I get the impression that some people actually feel disgust toward old age, and what truly repulses them is the idea of imagining an “old” person having sex. They’re so disgusted by it that they want these people to have sex only with other old people. A sort of gerontophobia, so strong that it even spills over toward people in their thirties.

They don't actually find it disgusting, it's performative. It's a like a student saying their dog ate their homework. It's also why any solutions suggested by people like that won't work; the answer isn't designing paper which is repellent to dogs. Students don't want to do homework, and people do want to date 18 year olds (and younger).

They know this, but they're busy gaslighting themselves into thinking sexual attraction is infinitely malleable. "If we lie enough that teenagers are unattractive, then eventually it will become true."

A big part of this is the hatred that younger generations have for the Boomers. It's becoming mainstream acceptable to not necessarily respect the elders. Generation Z parents have started the very popular trend of "going no contact" with their parents and not allowing the grandparents to see or interact with their kids.

It's also popular in Generation Z to proudly reject the older generation as a means of "breaking the cycle" of "toxic viewpoints" from the 20th century. The quickly expanding"nostalgiacore horror" genre of popular entertainment has the effect of portraying childhood memories and experiences with older people in a negative light.

All of these are societal norms we must act to abolish.

Could you give me some examples?
When you mention "nostalgiacore horror", what comes to mind for me is Stranger Things (I’ve only watched the first two seasons) and PSX/PS2/N64-style video games, and I tend to interpret them in different ways. I see them as products born out of a kind of impatience with more modern productions, aimed at a more adult audience.

If there’s a critical interpretation of this kind regarding these products, I’m completely unaware of it. If you can tell me more, I’d be interested.

Yeah. And what about the people in this age group that are attracted to adults? Are they supposed to be told by society that they need therapy, and that what they experience isn't normal? How awful. Thinking about this has only made me dislike myself and old people.
Am I not simply a human being just like you? But out of your norm.
