The daughter and victim of a convicted sex offender has spoken out after he was “given the easy way out” and granted permission by the NSW government to end his own life.
In a controversial, state-first decision, known pedophile Daniel Hume died at Cessnock Hospital on August 28 after Justice Health officials approved his application for voluntary assisted dying (VAD). The Daily Telegraphrevealed earlier this week that the 55-year-old was diagnosed with terminal cancer after serving just seven years of his three-decade prison sentence, convicted of multiple offences including sex charges and indecent assault.
