proship means "ship and let ship". broader: what person consumes in fiction doesn't mean they condone it irl + harassing people over fictional stuff (like shipping incest or writing about rape) is wrong because fiction doesn't harm anybody
it was a term created in response to antishippers, those who decided that ships and fiction should be morally correct. basically they act like the censorship code pushed on media back decades ago.
proship idea is basic for fandom and for shipping, but puritans and tourists came, along with the puriteens, and now the government, too... its a mess.
