If there weren't enough reasons to think twice about reporting CSA, here is a final reason. You risk losing a decade of your and your family's life to punish someone for a few years service.

Legal reform is now needed to get consensual crimes out of the court, and go after the rapists and exploiters.

They're fucking mental with anti-"CSAM" laws there that a fictional story, where if it occurred in real life it would be legal, was classified as "production, distribution, and possession of CSAM"?

It's always good when a bureaucracy collapses under its own weight, and people are forced to contemplate what needs to be done for it to work efficiently. Usually people will have to suffer before they sit up and take notice.

Victims of child sex abuse are facing “agonisingly long waits” to get justice with almost 7,000 cases stuck in the court system, according to a new study.

The NSPCC said the number of child sexual abuse and exploitation offence cases awaiting trial, being tried, or awaiting sentencing has risen by 9 per cent in a year.

The charity found there were 6,989 cases in the system across England and Wales in the year to March, up from 6,399 in the 12 months to March 2024.

Data shared with the NSPCC by the Ministry of Justice also showed that victims of such abuse were waiting an average of 10 months from the accused being charged to a case being completed.

It should now be unofficial advice to think twice about reporting consensual crimes where there is no immediate risk of ongoing harm, or things can be handled inside the community.
