Years later, Sarah went on to marry her abuser and had two children with him.

Now, 20 years later, Sarah, who has an 18-year-old daughter and teenage son, as well has two young boys from another relationship, has spoken out about seeking justice.

“The decision to seek justice was difficult,” she admits, speaking to ABC’s ‘Australian Story‘. “I did really worry about whether I’d have someone that would believe what I said.”
