"minors dni" thing is so annoying

I'm not the only one who's annoyed by the whole "minors aren't allowed to see nsfw content or interact with it at all", am I?

it's just... ugh. teenagers NEED nsfw content to explore their sexuality. they need sexual contact too, actually, but that's a different thing. they need nsfw and, for antis, nsfw should literally be a better alternative for real sex, yet they still deem it bad.

and then there comes the government. they use nsfw content as the scapegoat for every little thing they dislike, and even if their ultimate goal is control and our private info, still, they ban nsfw content everywhere and demand to see our IDs "to protect the children".

and so, here comes the thing that made me snap into this post: on tumblr, I literally saw a person who created a group chat in telegram and now demand the bewcomers send them their IDs to prove they're not minors.

I share your opinion, and I too am really quite annoyed by this tendency to treat NSFW content as somehow traumatic for minors. My point of view is this: either they don’t understand it, in which case it doesn’t affect them, or they do understand it, and therefore they’re old enough to access it.

In fact, I wouldn’t have been able to develop my sexual preferences without pornography, and it really bothers me how the "barriers" are becoming harder and harder to get past. Beyond the fact that I find this kind of barrier annoying in and of itself, websites are becoming more invasive—asking for ID, video recordings, and so on. Of course, then they go on to ban VPNs, because if there’s no right to access pornography, there can’t really be a right to privacy either.

Yea I REFUSED to follow along with that nonsense. I got so much crap on TikTok for saying idc if kids watch porn. I was watching it at 12 and my 11 year old sister introduced it to me. It helped me to realize I was queer.

I’m also an advocate for youth porn media literacy.

Some sex workers have said that porn is not educational content but I disagree. It helped me explore my sexuality. I also watch a lot of queer porn that centers consent and dialogue around sex scenes like I really enjoy Crashpad series. I wouldn’t mind if minors saw my porn. I saw this TikTok video of someone sharing how their grandma was a porn star and she has her videos and pin ups.

Sex worker should be as normal as saying “My Mom was a teacher”.
