A Mississippi man will spend the rest of his life behind bars after a Florida jury found him guilty of sexually assaulting a child.

An Okaloosa County jury found 23-year-olf Justin Andrew Busby guilty of sexually assaulting a family member under the age of 12 during a family vacation in Destin between late 2022 and early 2023.

Prosecutors say Busby was 18 at the time of the assault.

The abuse was reported after the family returned to Mississippi, and investigators say Busby later confessed.

While Busby will serve his sentence in Florida, he still faces additional sexual abuse charges in Mississippi involving two minors.
