A paedophile who targeted a vulnerable new mum on Tinder so he could rape her 10-week-old baby has been jailed for life.
Depraved Christopher Phillips, 34, was ‘actively looking for a baby’ when he joined the dating app.
He preyed on the woman after seeing a photo of her holding the infant, Swansea Crown Court heard.

Absolutely awful. He could have killed that child, and he has probably significantly altered the course of the child's life with that traumatic brain injury.
That was not 'love.' That was not 'normal' paedophilic behaviour. That was cruel, evil, and vile. What a horrible thing to happen. How dare they use the word 'paedophile' to describe such a monster.

It is terrible, an awful story, but I do dislike the way this is written.
The story is that a man raped a baby and used deception to get access through the mother. A terrible crime, a monstrous act.
But was he a pedophile? I mean if he wasn't a pedophile and did it for any other reason such as he hates kids, he's a masochist, he has a mental condition, he has a personality disorder such as needing to dominate and hurt people, he's advancing towards becoming a serial killer, would any of these reasons make the crime more acceptable?
Focusing on a characteristic rather than the crime is deceptive and manipulative. Would you say a "black robber" or a "straight rapist" or a "Christian wife beater"? I think throwing terms in like that are intentional, to take a terrible crime and politicize it against a group of people.
