NEARLY 13,000 paedophiles who hoarded child abuse images — just like Huw Edwards and David Coote — have avoided jail in the past five years, we can reveal.

Only 2,910 of the 15,867 child sex offenders convicted since mid-2020 were immediately sent to prison — a lock-up rate of 18 per cent, The Sun’s analysis of court records shows.
