A national youth liberation group that published a widely-read zine entitled "FPS" existed from 1970-1980. They were known as both the "Cooperative Highschool Independent Press Syndicate" and "Ann Arbor Youth Liberation". In one of their last issues of the zine, just as "Rollback" began (a very big push to have most people dis-trusting social challengers again, basically), a writer by the name of Don C. (full name published, but i wonder at doing that here) wrote "Is Sex The Private Property of Adults?"
This group was known to be communist-oriented (which was the most organized alt group in those days, i understand), and yet published many AWESOME articles decrying ageism and GROAN-UP chauvanism! Awhile back, I found their media online somewhere, but have since lost that info.
Then there were at least several CHILD LABOR UNIONS in the third world. Surprisingly, Mother Jones Magazine published an article, i think around 2001 about one such labor union (i'll see if i can find the info if anyone's interested). There were earlier ones in the USA, back when kids were forced to work (no welfare back when), which i read about in a certain book about cities, but whose info i've since lost.
And how about the book 'BIRTHRIGHTS' by Richard Farson, published in 1975?! Wow! A VERY WORTHWHILE READ with a great run-down of excellent dimensions, including sexuality!!
And then there's John Holt who wrote a book called 'ESCAPE FROM CHILDHOOD: The Needs and Rights of Children' (1974). Another excellent read, tho not touching on sexuality, especially about how "children" (i hated that word as a kid!) ought, he thought, to be allowed to ESCAPE the PRISON GARDEN OF CHILDHOOD WHENEVER THEY WISHED! And STOP being STUCK as "SUPER-PETS" by prevailing groan-up chauvanism.
What else? Well, there was The Unicorn who used to write quite articulately (ageists would say "precociously") for the nambla bulletin. He actually outed himself in the magazine "OUT" years later, as Jesse C... so only then did many of us recognize that he WAS FOR REAL AFTER ALL! And how about Miguelito de Argentina? And the dudes hangingout with the UK's "Minor Problems", oh my!! And THEN there was the Indianner Kommune, the anti-adult-centric anarchist group in Germany, from 1972 to at least the late '90s!!
I'm sure i'm missing some others, as well. All this just from "off the top of my head"!
Perhaps folks here can find some of this info i mentioned and post it here?
