In the country I live in, the age of consent is 14. It is perfectly legal for teenagers 14 and above to have sex with people of their choosing. Teenagers can also buy sex. Recently, I was contacted by a 16 year old client who found me on an escort site and he wanted to do a video call. I’m twice his age.
Some sex workers choose not to work with teenagers altogether, but as long as they have money and are willing to pay for my services, I say why not!?

Commercial sex is of no interest to me. I desire emotion. Do other sex workers condemn you for having teenage clients? I say that society has no right to judge you. Laws against commercial sex are promoted by corporations and governments to force sex workers to get a 'real' job. Some parts of the world have stupid laws where it is legal to sell but not to buy. I have no problems with a person of any age buying or selling sex.
I support AAMs and MAPs. Personally I am a romantic GL but I support loving relationships between people from infants all the way up to the elderly.

The reason I bring up commercial sex is because there is still an ongoing debate around whether or not sex work is consensual. The parallels between the struggle to decriminalize sex work is very similar to the struggle to decriminalize AAMs & MAPs in relationships. Both sex work as well as pedophilia are seen as sex trafficking/rape by the powers that be.DANAT4T wrote: Sun Feb 15, 2026 12:47 am Commercial sex is of no interest to me. I desire emotion. I’ve even brought up the fact that child sex workers exist, for example, LGBTQ youth who leave their families and start doing sex work for survival often engage with adult clients. People see the age gap sex as being inherently problematic rather than problematizing the fact that these young people are being rejected and disposed of by their families.
This is all to say that if people cannot accept sex between the young and the old even in commercial settings, when it should be very clear the benefit that it provides to both parties, it’s gonna take a whole lot more for them to accept it when it comes to love, intimacy,& emotional connections.

I believe sex workers should ask themselves one question.
Would you still do that work if money did not exist?
Because if your entire premise is to earn money, then one could argue that you are not doing that kind of work under free will but under economic duress because you do it as matter of survival.
I would surmise that majority of the sex workers out there would wash up if money did not exist. Even though there will very much be a group of man, women, and children who cannot and will not ever been intimate without a sex worker because of their individuals conditions such as attractiveness, disabilities, or whatever reasons a large portion of the population cannot find a partner.
In either event, it all boils down to free will (and not harming). If someone rather the client or the worker choose to act on that service. That is there choice; and I agree with the poster. They struggle for acceptance for what is said to be the oldest profession.
I would support sex workers in either case because again, I am against anyone telling another person they cannot choose to do something they want to do. Maybe you could convince those teens to craft some articles talking about their happy sex life and maybe their first experiences; and get them to say why they would support changing the laws to grant the freedom of choice to the youth and to sex workers who want to do what they do.

Let us work together to free youths and MAPs.

I agree; I just say that there is room for argument that it is not.Not Forever wrote: Sun Feb 15, 2026 9:02 pmIt is part of free will to choose one job instead of another.TMKnight wrote: Sun Feb 15, 2026 8:47 pmBecause if your entire premise is to earn money, then one could argue that you are not doing that kind of work under free will but under economic duress because you do it as matter of survival.
How likely would there be sex workers if money did not exist?
Most would not work at jobs where the sole reason you are doing that work is for money.
It would be different if you were passionate about that kind of work. Say a doctor, or teacher, or carpenter, and so on.
As I said I agree it is free will for the worker.
But one could argue.
