How do you folks feel about gun rights and the 2nd amendment? I don't want this to lean too political as per the rules but I'm just curious. I myself am a 2nd amendment absolutist.
Also as per the rules of the site we won't DEBATE anything here if someone has a different view I'll just acknowledge that point of view and move on but tell me how y'all feel!

I'm very pro-2a. We should at least be able to have silencers and machine guns and large magazines. I do wonder where to draw the line though. Obviously we can't have common people running around with nukes (the extreme case), but I wonder where the line should be exactly. Should people be able to get their hands on rocket launchers and grenades and stuff?
All pedos should own guns though. We could start an army. :3

I have to agree. Gun control is a classist scam.
I support AAMs and MAPs. Personally I am a romantic GL but I support loving relationships between people from infants all the way up to the elderly.

ATF shouldn't be an agency. It should be a one stop shop for your alcohol, tobacco, and firearms.Theendoftheline wrote: Sun May 17, 2026 10:13 pm How do you folks feel about gun rights and the 2nd amendment?

I am not a smoker, but I don't think it should be illegal. Prohibited in specific areas (such as inside buildings open to the public and enclosed spaces with kids, etc.), but not fully illegal.TayFerret wrote: Mon May 18, 2026 4:44 amSmoking should be illegal though.Condemned wrote: Mon May 18, 2026 2:01 amATF shouldn't be an agency. I'm not American and I'm from a country that doesn't allow guns.
My view is that if gun ownership is something most American's support then they should allow it. I don't have any issue with people having guns if that's what they want as a society. That's a reflection of my broader belief that no country should impose its views on another, whether it's gun rights, religious rights, age of consent rights or anything else. I don't want to live in a bland uniform world where everyone believes the same thing and follows the same rules and beliefs. I want the color of diversity.

Personally I haven't seen countries or people benefit from gun rights, the USA (which is the most pro-gun rights Western country) isn't as free as it should be even most people enjoy guns rights, they are trapped in a Bi-partisan dictatorship just like Spain (which is an anti-gun country) and since 2nd Trump administration it has got even worse in terms of free speech and other civil liberties and yet no one does anything either because it's illegal to kill a tyrant (law which makes gun ownership useless for fighting a government oppression) or because they support the tyrant in the first place.Theendoftheline wrote: Sun May 17, 2026 10:13 pm How do you folks feel about gun rights and the 2nd amendment? Also in the case of civil-vs-criminal self-defense it makes the situation even worse because civil use of weapons makes guns cheaper and more accessible to criminals (as an example most of the guns that the Mexican drug dealers use come from the US), and in the case of needing to defend yourself you can use whatever you have near to you,
summarizing this point:
everyone has guns -> criminals get guns cheaper and easily -> criminals that used to fight with knifes or fists now have AR-15 and people need to defend themselves from them which leads to the start
