Why do antis keep creating and changing terms for the same content?

Post by SavannahApe »

"Kiddie porn"
"Child porn"
"Child pornography"
"Child abuse images"
"Child abuse material"
"Indecent images of children"
"Child exploitation material"
"Documented child sexual abuse"
"depicted child sexual abuse"
"child sexual abuse material"
"child sexual exploitation material"
"indecent photographs of a child"
"child sexual assault images"
child sexual assault material"
"self-generated child sexual abuse material"
Like, is there a reason why they constantly keep creating and changing terms for the same content? They create multiple terms and can't even agree which one to use. It reminds of that George Carlin bit about shell shock and post traumatic stress disorder.

First they called it 'shell shock', then they changed to 'battle fatigue', then it was changed to 'operational exhaustion', they then changed to 'post traumatic stress disorder'.

Because charities, 'charities', and LEA need to get attention to secure funding.

I think it's for two reasons.

One, because people get desentised to terms when they hear them overly used for a long time so they have to keep coming up with new terms to try to keep them sounding scary.

Two, because they need to keep expanding the definition circle. People understand the term porn, so child porn is understood by most people to mean a child in a sexual act. But that then excludes kids naked on the beach, so the term is replaced by a more generic child sex abuse material which could be argued to include those beach shots. Drop the sexual part so we get child abuse material and that's really vague, you can roll that term around to mean anything over time, hence we find totally fictitious drawings, stories and anything else getting swept into that definition.

The problem we have is that the child part of the definition is a problem if the person isn't a child but only looks young, so look out for some new terms soon such as age abuse material or child-like abuse material which can sweep people in their 20s.
Keep every stone they throw at you. You've got castles to build.

The antis on the top that weaponize State force against us are near unanimous on the terms CSAM and CSEM. With zero objection. They all hate the word "kiddie porn" and will politely say "child porn" is an outdated term. They may only use the word "child porn' for the general public because there are way to many X comments asking @grok what is CSAM, or "I just found out what CSAM is" tweet

This shows that antis who have extremely strong opinions on CP don't even know the basic facts They hate us due to visceral child protection instincts.
