Short Trust survey

Post by CantChainTheSpirit »

Survey Title: The MAP Future Vision Survey
Introduction
"I am researching the launch of a MAP Community Trust to support, advocate, and evolve the future of the MAP lifestyle. But I want to know: What does the community actually need? Moderators please review and edit if needed and members can respond here or PM me.

This short survey is designed to understand your personal experience, your vision for where we should go, and how we should influence the outside world (law, media, business, etc.).

Your responses are anonymous and will be used to define the Trust's legal Purpose Clause, funding priorities, and strategic roadmap. Please answer honestly; even a single answer can shape how we support potentially thousands of members in the future."

Section 1: Identity & Current Experience

◦ Legal/Political Change (e.g., New laws for relationships, tax, housing)
◦ Medical/Healthcare (e.g., Specialist therapists, insurance recognition)
◦ Social/Cultural (e.g., Media representation, education, public understanding)
◦ Economic/Financial (e.g., Wealth creation, grants, business support, legal support)
◦ Security/Sanctuary (e.g., Privacy protection, low-risk support)

6. "Pro-Contact" vs. "Anti-Contact": Do you view the relationship between adults and young people primarily as someone who is:
◦ Pro-Contact: Advocating for normalization and future relationships (similar to standard adult partnerships).
◦ Anti-Contact: Focused on safe internal spaces and specific healthcare/welfare needs rather than changing future relationship norms.
◦ Hybrid: Context-dependent (open in safe environments, private in others).
(If Hybrid, please explain)

Section 3: Support & Resources
Defining what the Trust provides.
7. Which of these support areas would you benefit from the most?
◦ Mental Health Therapy (Specialized, e.g., CBT, Psychodynamic for MAP dynamics)
◦ Legal Aid (e.g., Wills, Contracts, Property, Visitation Laws)
◦ Financial Assistance (e.g., Grants, Low-cost Housing, Travel Funds)
◦ Health Care Coordination (e.g., Specialist Doctors, Medical Insurance)
◦ Education/Training (e.g., Workshops on Communication, Emotional Maturity)

◦ Resource-Based: Databases, Self-help guides, or Online Tools
◦ Flexible: Depends on the specific need at the time.

Section 4: Advocacy & Influence

◦ Media/Entertainment: Getting TV shows, movies, or books to feature MAP stories positively.
◦ Academia/Science: Funding research into MAP psychology, development, and health.
◦ Business/Industry: Creating grants, sponsorships, or "MAP-Friendly" workplace policies.
◦ Healthcare/Science: Training doctors, therapists, and nurses to understand the community.

10. How should the Trust present itself to the public?

12. Are there specific regions where you feel the MAP community is "strong" or "needs attention"?
e.g., "Strong in UK, needs help in East Asia.

13. How much time do you have to dedicate to community involvement?
◦ Minimal (Just participating)
◦ Moderate (Occasional events, forums)
◦ High (Active volunteering, organizing events, leadership)

Section 6: The Future Vision
Open-ended strategic thinking.
14. Imagine 10 years from now. What is the ideal state of the MAP Community?
◦ Describe your vision. E.g., "Society is discussing map rights and issues more openly," or "Therapy is covered by insurance," or "We are a well-known global NGO."
15. What is the single biggest fear or risk you have about the future of the MAP community?
◦ E.g., "Government crackdown," "Therapy stigma," "Financial collapse," etc.
16. If you could grant the Trust one specific power or resource, what would it be?
◦ E.g., "A $10M endowment fund," "A legal team with international rights," "A research lab," etc.
Keep every stone they throw at you. You've got castles to build.
