It's funny how even progressive people who claim to believe in sex ed and sex positivity are still incredibly puritanical in how they go about it and the arbitrary age limits they place on different things. Especially in America. Sure I support sex ed, but only after, uh, let's say, maybe 10-ish years old or so, because of reasons. Telling a 6 year old what sex is with any level of real detail is just way too extreme and inappropriate. Oh, and of course I support teaching them the correct anatomical names for body parts, but only with like diagrams and cartoons and bananas and whatnot, showing children actual nude photographs of adults is exposing them to graphic imagery and is child abuse, what are you some kind of freak? The only erect penises kids can safely view are in dry science textbook diagrams, nothing too realistic or one of them might get aroused by it or something. Oh, and all of this information has to stay purely theoretical until whatever age I deem sexual exploration to be allowable, let's say 14ish, maybe 13 if you're really relaxed. For 11 year olds it's back to the abstinence only policy, no way a kid that young would ever be curious about sex unless they're really fucked in the head and they've been groomed or something. Oh, and when they do start having sex as teens it needs to be with people who are within 6 and a half months of their own age, a 14 year old fucking a 16 year old is CoCSA and that makes the 16 year old a rapist and the 14 year old a victim.
It's so convoluted for no reason, just relax and let your kids take their clothes off and hump together.
I recently learned my 12-year-old son is dating. I'm worried I waited too long to have the SEX TALK

This reminds me of that joke:
A mom was cleaning a 12 year old boy's bedroom and came across BDSM magazines and materials.
She asks her husband, "what should we do?"
He says, "I'm no expert, but I sure as hell wouldn't spank him"

The issue is that too many people actually believe that there is a switch that happens at 18 where there is zero sex drive before and when the clock strikes midnight, "horndog mode" is activated. I'm not sure what switch happened in their own brains to make them forget about their own childhood.Kierkegaard wrote: Fri Aug 07, 2026 11:40 pm It's funny how even progressive people who claim to believe in sex ed and sex positivity are still incredibly puritanical in how they go about it and the arbitrary age limits they place on different things.
