MAPs are out of touch with reality
MAPs are out of touch with reality
Looking at all the posts here, it is easy to see why the MAP movement is going nowhere. People here are either out of touch elitists or boring people who sound like AI robots. Honestly, the movement is done for.
I support AAMs and MAPs. Personally I am a romantic GL but I support loving relationships between people from infants all the way up to the elderly.

There's a new thread dedicated to exposing antis. Got a few reports already. That's a start at least.

Westernized society hates youth. MAPs are the cure. Youth are NOT slaves. They are our future and we must fight for their freedom.

I don't think the failure of the MAP movement to gain any ground has anything to do with some kind of personality defect among MAP activists. That's a very idealistic analysis. Also, all niche internet forums dedicated to stigmatized interests are going to be filled with insufferable weirdos. That's the nature of the internet. If anything this place is actually less awful than I would expect it to be, only like 10-20% of the users come across as completely deranged to me. The rest seem pretty reasonable and wellspoken. Compare that to a place like Tumblr or X where 100% of the users are insufferable lunatics and we're doing pretty good on here.

LOL I agree! Loads of unhinged pedos there-and even more banned accounts. Gotta wonder what they were saying.Kierkegaard wrote: Wed Aug 12, 2026 11:45 pm I don't think the failure of the MAP movement to gain any ground has anything to do with some kind of personality defect among MAP activists. The movement was never going anywhere to begin with. We could be actual saints, and they would still want us to be skinned alive, its futile.

I think the movement needs some cold hard truths.Human wrote: Sat Aug 15, 2026 1:20 pm The movement was never going anywhere to begin with. We could be actual saints, and they would still want us to be skinned alive, its futile.

Why didn't you address my point? Going on about other sites. Do you even know what you are talking about?Kierkegaard wrote: Wed Aug 12, 2026 11:45 pm I don't think the failure of the MAP movement to gain any ground has anything to do with some kind of personality defect among MAP activists. I think the "argument" was addressed, in a point for point manner. You offered a subjective opinion on the members here, and another member responded (albeit more intelligently) with theirs. Both replies ignored the fundamental weakness in our community, which is simply a lack of critical mass.
Constantly accusing that others are not "addressing your point" betrays a lack of self-awareness and self-critique - it's consistent with the behavior of needling and trolling, covered by rule 7.
What exactly are you expecting from a community intended to cater to a "mental disorder", by the way?

Online
on the other hand, this place is intriguing enough to just lurk on its own. since it doesn't have the constant horniness and fetishism in the background (people don't think as well when they're horny), and the origin of users mainly coming from other affiliated sites aside from the centralized hell of the websites i mentioned before, there's generally a bit more profound threads and statements being made on here. also i think forums encourage more thoughtful posts in general, great extension onto the already profound website that is Newgon as well as other affiliated websites like Ribbon's blog.
...on the other hand, the OP doesn't give much to work with (looking at their other posts, it seems like the usual). i should really ask: what do you expect from this 'movement'? i'm not expecting much progress now with the constant pushback and strawmanning of them via governments to enforce more surveillance and oppression onto everybody, and i'm hoping it doesn't progress like previous oppressed groups have into directly serving the government as well, but i'm generally pessimistic when it comes to world issues. i'm less so focused on that (i'm more individualist because i know i can't work with other people) more so than the general sense of community i'm able to get now after having to realize i'm attracted to children too, and how out of touch everyone else is with MAPs.

"MAPs are out of touch with reality" *doesn't elaborate*
the last """"MAP"""" forum i was on was [well-known lolicon forum], and considering its mix of irritating Xitter and 4chan lolicons/pedophiles (who only came because it hosted game mods), that was probably the worst experience i've ever had on an internet forum before.Kierkegaard wrote: Wed Aug 12, 2026 11:45 pm If anything this place is actually less awful than I would expect it to be, only like 10-20% of the users come across as completely deranged to me.
