Mu Forum was down for some time.
This was due to hostile activity (not a seizure) against a related resource.
We don't know the full details yet, but the hostile activity does not threaten Mu Forum members in any way.
I'll provide an update as soon as I have more information that I'm able to disclose.
About the recent downtime

Re: About the recent downtime
I think websites like this getting more publicity and attention is actually a good thing, provided the admins can handle the heat and it doesn't result in the site being completely shut down. The biggest problem the MAP movement has right now is disinterest/low participation, which is primarily caused by censorship and lack of platforms for outreach, organization, etc. There are a ton of MAPs out there, anywhere from 5% to the vast majority of the population depending on how strict we are with the definition of 'minor-attracted', but doing MAP outreach to grow the movement is hard because everyone is too afraid to do it in real life(understandably) and doing it anonymously on mainstream social media is impossible without getting banned and de-platformed. So we're left with obscure forums like this one hosted outside of the mainstream social media ecosystem, but that limitation dramatically limits growth. Most people aren't interested in using old school forums, and it's hard to grow and recruit younger MAPs while relying only on word of mouth marketing.
The catch-22 is that more publicity also means more Anti harassment. So in order to grow and recruit people you need to be resilient enough to withstand harassment campaigns and not lose your web host, cloudfare protection from DDoS attacks, having enough mods to deal with the influx of trolls, etc. If you can weather through all of those things then being in the public eye is great, because it's free outreach to prospective MAPs.
The stuff with slyboy recently is a good start but he's a little fish in the grand scheme of things. What this website really needs to kick off and attract an influx of new users is to get a mention by a serious influencer with millions of subscribers, or an article in fox news or something.
Again, that's assuming admins are resilient enough to weather the storm. It might even be worth it for someone to intentionally try to tip-off an Anti with a large amount of followers to the existence of this site and bait them into posting a video about us. Like messaging a bunch of influencers or tabloid journalists about how there's a spooky scary pedo forum operating in plain view on the clearnet and nobody is doing anything about it.

Feel free to do this. Even better if you can do it on YouTube and TikTok, and then let me know when they post a video so I can publish a response.Kierkegaard wrote: Tue Aug 18, 2026 2:47 am It might even be worth it for someone to intentionally try to tip-off an Anti with a large amount of followers to the existence of this site and bait them into posting a video about us. I've always disliked the NCMEC. Board members who are board members only because it looks good on their resume, hypocritical policies that harm children more than they "save" them. A non-stop stream of bullshit. While I know most people here dislike VirPed, people at the NCMEC believe it's a front for a child-grooming operation. That's how batshit insane they all are.BLueRibbon wrote: Mon Aug 17, 2026 1:29 pm This is what happened - https://www.brianribbon.com/home/the-ni ... e-at-night
An organization that depends on fear to maintain its own funding, most of which goes into their pockets, will always ensure to put up as much "fear" as possible.
They advocate against E2EE, AI, and any new tech because it makes their lives harder. I'll always advocate for E2EE, AI, and any new tech that makes their lives harder.
