Pre opt trans i mean. I started liking trans because of jazz jennings. What's everyone thoughts of boys wanted to be girls ? Good or bad?

I think it's a personal choice. If a boy wants to be a girl or vice versa and that makes them happy then they should be allowed to do it.

Kids should be allowed to dress however they want and use whatever names and pronouns they want. Transphobes always accuse pro-trans people of pushing ideology onto kids, but it's really them who do that when they prohibit kids from wearing certain types of clothing or going by nicknames for the "wrong" gender. Kids like to explore things and try out new stuff. Maybe some boys who want to wear girls clothing and have people call them by a girl's name as a kid(and vice versa) will grow up to identify as women, maybe others will turn out to have just been having fun with it/experimenting and will settle comfortably back into their assigned gender identity when they get older. We shouldn't place any pressure on them either way, it's up to them to determine who they are and what their identity is without pressure to conform to a prescribed gender role being put on them by adults.

When it comes to actual medical interventions for gender dysphoria like puberty blockers and surgery, that's between the kid and their doctor. The transphobic belief that doctors are just handing out pills or surgeries willy nilly to every 5 year old who shows signs of gender non-comformance for a couple weeks is not based in reality. In real life puberty blockers are only prescribed after months of screening and tests, and surgeries for minors are incredibly rare or outright non-existent in most places. Puberty blockers are not crazy new experimental drugs either, they've been used to treat cis kids with early onset puberty for decades and the side effects and risks are very well known.

There's also an ample amount of evidence that these medical interventions, in combination with affirming social environments, greatly increase psychological health outcomes and reduce rates of suicide, depression, etc. Surveys of trans people who have medically transitioned have found rates of regret to be very low, and even among trans people who do report regret about having transitioned, the most common cited reasons are things like being dissatisfied with the results, encountering social adversity or discrimination, etc. Trans people who transition only to later report no longer believing themselves to be trans and thinking it was all some kind of horrible mistake are incredibly rare.

The science is firmly on the side of trans-affirming healthcare. The only reason to be opposed to accepting trans kids are ideological or religious. If you want trans kids to be happy and healthy then you should accept them for who they are instead of trying to control them and impose predetermined gender roles on them.

All that said, if you were wanting to know if people here are attracted to trans kids or not the answer for me is yes, but not like, in a specific chaser-y way. I'm just pretty open sexually in general, at least when it comes to the physical stuff like what people's bodies and genitals look like. I do tend to be more drawn towards boys though. Especially emotionally/romantically. It's hard to say if I would experience strong romantic attraction to a trans girl, I've never really interacted with any in my AoA. I have interacted with at least one trans boy(or just nonbinary/genderqueer kid? they were like 9 so idk if they had everything figured out yet) who I definitely crushed on, so I think it's a safe bet my romantic/emotional preferences are based more on presentation and personality than on genitals.

What is the whole trans thing about? I do not have a problem with trans people at all but I do not get why they would want to identify as another gender (but people mostly use gendered terms to refer to sex anyways). Wouldn't it be better to throw the whole gender nonsense away anyways? Stop letting social constructs define you with labels? Just do what you want, get boobs as a male if you want. Cut your boobs as a female if you want. Does anyone know why people would identify as trans? Preferably, any trans people could tell me.

And I am not "transphobic", I do not have a problem with trans people. I am just curious about why someone would identify as trans.
