What is an AF/YF relationship like for GLs?

I'm curious about how platonic AF-YF relationships work for GLs.

For BLs outside of the hysterical countries, it's somewhat accepted that a man can mentor a boy and enjoys doing so. In fact, I used to have a reputation for this and the community really appreciated me.

I imagine it must be much harder for GLs to avoid suspicion. Men were once boys and many secretly wish they could just be a little boy again. Everybody understands this. GLs don't have such an excuse.
